First Classic Car Meander a huge success
Classic car enthusiasts were spoiled for choice on Sunday when loads of classic beauties participated in the inaugural Classic Car Meander. The Brits Hartbeespoort Rotary Club hosted this event to raise funds for CHOC. The cars pulled away at French Toast Koffiekafee and meandered their way around Hartbeespoort Dam. Various stopovers at scenic locations saw the drivers complete challenges to win prizes. These included the Aerial Cableway, Dockside Café, Van Gaalen cheese farm and Aviators Brewing Company.The end point was Hartbeespoort Holiday Resort, where enthusiasts could admire the classic cars and enjoy the day out in the sun.
The CHOC Childhood Cancer foundation was established to offer support to, and improve the well-being of children with cancer and life-threatening blood disorders and their families. Comprehensive support and services offered by CHOC includes counselling, emotional support, accomodation close to treatment treatment centres, transport to and from treatment centres, food parcels and support groups. All services are offered free of charge.
